Rev. Dr. Dian Griffin JacksonDavis, DMin, is a pastor, poet, and creator whose words weave healing, hope, and celebration. Through her books, articles, rituals, and spiritual writings, she uplifts diverse voices and honors authentic representation. Her work blends scholarly depth with poetic warmth, offering readers comfort and inspiration. In addition to Whispers from the Cradle, she has published The Phoenix—Rising from the Ashes, a testament to resilience and renewal.
Minister Sandra Jasper Davis is a woman of faith who seeks to honor God through worship, service, and everyday living. She is a cherished member of the Mt. Zion United Church of Christ family, where she shares her gifts, encouragement, and love for people.
Known for her caring spirit and steadfast faith, Sandra values family, community, and the opportunity to support others along life’s journey. She believes in the power of prayer, the strength of fellowship, and the importance of living a life that reflects God’s grace and love.
Minister Angelicia (“Angie”) Simmons, MDiv, MTS, JD, is a minister, advocate, and community leader dedicated to faith, justice, and service. A graduate of North Carolina A&T State University, North Carolina Central University School of Law, and Duke University Divinity School, she is the Founder and Executive Director of The Fannie Lou Hamer Institute of Advocacy & Social Action, where she works to empower and uplift communities through education and advocacy.
Minister Marcus Henderson is a minister, worship leader, and Minister in Discernment within the United Church of Christ who is passionate about sharing the Gospel and serving others. A native of Rockingham, North Carolina, Marcus faithfully serves Mt. Zion United Church of Christ in various leadership roles and is committed to encouraging people to discover their gifts and use them to advance the Kingdom of God. Through his ministry, service, and leadership, he seeks to inspire others to grow in faith and follow God’s calling on their lives.
